Privacy Policy
What information moves through Shark-E-Ting when you read the site, subscribe to the weekly newsletter, or follow an affiliate link.
Reading
Hosting, security, and configured analytics can process technical usage data.
Subscribing
Email, consent, confirmation, and subscription records move through the live email stack described below.
Choosing
Affiliate destinations process referral data under their own terms when you choose a tracked link.
Who operates the site
Shark-E-Ting operates shark-e-ting.com, an independent educational and affiliate-supported website about marketing tools and publishing workflows. The Contact page lists the reader-support and privacy routes currently available. The newsletter sender address is delivery-only.
Data flows and service providers
The table names the current configured path rather than describing a hypothetical newsletter system.
Providers can process information under their own terms and in countries other than your own. Shark-E-Ting does not sell subscriber lists.
Why information is used
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.
- Record consent, send the confirmation email, and deliver requested newsletter messages.
- Maintain unsubscribe and suppression records so an opt-out is not accidentally reversed.
- Maintain the reader-support and policy routes described on the Contact page.
- Understand content and referral performance to the extent analytics is configured.
- Detect abuse and meet legal or operational obligations.
Cookies, analytics, and affiliate links
The site and its providers may use necessary storage for security and operation. Google analytics tooling may use cookies or similar technologies according to its configuration. You can restrict cookies through your browser, although some functions may be affected.
When you follow an affiliate link, the destination may receive referral information and set a cookie so it can attribute a signup or purchase. The destination controls that information under its own privacy policy. Using an affiliate link normally does not increase the price you pay.
Retention and security
Subscriber and consent records are kept while the subscription is active. After an unsubscribe, the minimum suppression information needed to honor the opt-out may be retained. Server logs, analytics data, and security records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, provider configuration, or legal requirements.
Reasonable operational safeguards are used, including a secured form bridge and provider-managed credentials. No internet or email system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Every marketing newsletter includes an unsubscribe method; use that link to stop future marketing messages. The Contact page lists the privacy routes currently available for access, correction, or deletion requests. The newsletter sender address is not monitored for support. Legal rights vary by location and can be subject to exceptions.
Children and policy changes
Shark-E-Ting is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly request their personal information. Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised update date.
