Commercial transparency
Affiliate Disclosure
How tracked links support Shark-E-Ting, which relationships are currently in use, and what those relationships are not allowed to decide.
How a tracked link works
The commercial event happens after the editorial decision
1. You see context first
The page explains fit, limitations, alternatives, and the material relationship before the relevant link.
2. The destination tracks the referral
If you choose the link, the vendor or retailer may use a referral parameter or cookie under its own privacy terms.
3. A qualifying action may earn commission
A purchase or signup may create compensation. No compensation is earned merely because a positive conclusion was published.
Current relationship inventory
Programs currently configured for disclosed commercial links
This inventory is intentionally specific. A program not listed here should not be assumed to have an active tracked relationship.
What compensation can affect
The link path can change; the evidence standard cannot
Compensation can affect: whether a tracked destination is available and whether a qualifying action can support the site.
Compensation cannot justify: hiding a limitation, changing a factual conclusion, inventing hands-on use, replacing a primary source with a tracked link, or calling a product right for everyone.
Commercial links are marked with attributes intended for sponsored links. Those technical labels support—but do not replace—the plain-language disclosure a reader can actually understand.
Placement standard
The notice belongs with the recommendation
A disclosure is placed before or close to the relevant affiliate link or recommendation so the relationship is clear at the point it matters. A footer notice or this page alone is not enough.
Disclosure: Some links in this article are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through them, Shark-E-Ting may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That relationship does not determine our conclusions.
If a product was supplied free, a placement was sponsored, or another material connection exists, the specific relationship should be described in plain language before the relevant claim or link instead of relying only on the standard notice.
Questions about a link or relationship
For questions about a relationship, first identify the page, product, and link involved. The Contact page lists the reader-support routes currently available. For sourcing, testing, automation, and correction standards, read the Editorial Policy.
